Praying for the Nooneys
We come to you with urgent prayer requests on behalf of the Nooney Family. On Friday, Chris and Angie’s eldest son Gavin was at camp and called to let Chris know that he needed to go to the hospital. Though his speech was not fully coherent, Gavin was able to express his need.
PRAISE GOD.
Once they were at the hospital the severity of the situation unfolded. A brain bleed was identified and discussions about surgeries and life flight to another hospital ensued. The decision was made to avoid air travel as the increased pressure could negatively impact Gavin’s condition. Houston also experienced pretty awful thunderstorms Friday night, and that previous decision kept Gavin from being in the air during a storm.
PRAISE GOD.
Gavin was transferred by ground and admitted to the Neuro ICU with swelling on his brain and a low heart rate. Two neurosurgeons and the department head are consulting on Gavin’s case. Chris and Angie feel they are at the best place for Gavin to get the best care with an ARMY of physicians and nurses caring for them.
PRAISE GOD.
Saturday Gavin began to speak a bit more coherently, was awake and sitting up, and even talking about food!
PRAISE GOD.
Through all of this, Chris and Angie have expressed seeing God moving, tiny miracles, and an outpouring of support and prayers from friends and family. All to God’s Glory!!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Brain swelling to cease and subside.
Heart rate to normalize and become stable.
Any blood clots to naturally dissolve.
Pain management and control.
Rest for Chris and Angie.
Comfort for Gavin and Nooney Family.
The Holy Spirit to fill every corner of their room leaving no room for anything not of HIM!
The minds, hands, and feet of the staff, nurses and doctors providing care for Gavin.
We know our creator is working diligently through everyone involved, we are thankful for His providence and sovereignty, grateful for the glimpses of His hand through each moment.
